Exodus 33

12: Moses said to the Lord, "You have been telling me, 'Lead these people,' but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, 'I know you by name and you have found favor with me.'

Exodus 29

46: Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God. They will know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them out of Egypt so that I might dwell among them. I am the Lord their God.

46:그들은 내가 그들의 하나님 여호와로서 그들중에 거하려고 그들을 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낸 줄을 알리라 나는 그들의 하나님 여호와니라.

God is proclaiming that He is their God, our God. He has brought the people out of Egypt
to be our God, he has sent Jesus only son down to earth to save us and become our Lord and saviour. God wants to be there for us He wants the relationship with us.

 In the beginning God gives detailed instructions for the Israelites to follow. Step by step obedience with God was what was required but we know that the law was powerless to make us God's people. Then Jesus chose to come down to Earth and save us from our sufferings and sin. He has called us friend and changed the relationship model from a vertical one to a horizontal model. He delights in working with us, he delights working in partnership. This gives us more responsibility and freedom.

Creativity and initiative is God given. When we use them to please God, we are using them in their rightful place. That is my goal to please God with my creativity and initiative.

Exodus 19-21

19:5 세계가 다 내게 속하였나니 너희가 내 말을 잘 듣고 내 언약을 지키면 너희는 열국 중에서 내 소유가 되겠고
19:6 너희가 내게 대하여 제사장 나라가 되며 거룩한 백성이 되리라 너는 이 말을 이스라에엘 자손에게 고할찌니라.

언약으로 시작된 하나님과 이스라엘 백성의 관계, 하지만 율법으로는 되지 않는 다는 것을 우린 역사를 통해서 알수 있다.

로마서 8:3-4 For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the spirit.

10 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.

14: Because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

21: The creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

25 We hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

87 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

What the law was powerless to do, Jesus Christ allowed us to be redeemed with God and become his adopted sons and daughters. Through him we are given freedom and hope. We are more than conquerors through him who loves us with unbreakable love.

Verse 9: Then Moses told Aaron, "Say to the entire Israelite community, 'come before the Lord, for he has heard your grumbling.'"

이 말씀을 묵상하니 환경을 탓하며 하는 불평 불만은 하나님을 대상으로 하는 것이라는 생각을 하게 된다. 환경까지 주관하시는 분이 하나님이시라고 믿기에.

연말이 되고 집에 돌아오니 좀 쉬고 싶다는 마음이 강해진다.
한국에서는 벌떡 벌떡 일어났던 모습도 지금은 조금만 더 자자, 개강하면 또 못 잘 텐데로 바뀐다. 내안에 허전한 마음을 다스리지 못하고 다른 것으로 채우려고 한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 하나님은 여전히 나에게 사랑한다고 말씀하시며 나를 일으켜 세워 주신다.

이 말씀을 통해서도 하나님은 자신에게 더 가까이 오라는 말씀을 주신다.
누가 나에 대해서 불평 불만을 토로했을 경우 그 사람이 밉고 멀리 하고 싶은게 인지상정인데 하나님은 역시 배포가 크시다.

요즘 나는 퍼펙트 맨이 아닌 상한 심령으로 살아가는 법을 배우는 것 같다. 항상 올곧게 있고 싶은 나이지만 상한 심령으로 진정한 친구가 되는 법을 배우려고 한다. 무언가를 가르치기 보다는 그냥 옆에 앉아 있으려고 한다.

하나님의 학교는 계속 된다.

"Watch and Pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

Romans 8: Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship


God I pray that I will be filled with the Spirit. Amen.

Matthew 25

43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.'

45 'Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me,'

35 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.

36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.

40 And the King will tell them, 'I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'

I believe one of the definitions of love is filling the other person's need. Last night I realized rather than trying to please my senior doctors, more Jesus like thing to do would be to focus on the least of my brothers and sisters. 강자에게 잘 보이려고 하는 모습이 아니라, 약자를 돌보는 모습이 필요하다. 그랬을때 사랑이라고 가장한 아부가 되지 않으며 온전히 예수 그리스도의 사랑 실천이 가능하다. 아이쿠!

1 Cor 13: Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstances. Love will last forever.

God is God of the living, acting and sovereign today in my daily living.
The path that I must take is the path of love, path of love, which is not self seeking yet self-enduring. I must endure the test of time, and continue to work forth daily as his soldier, I love my Lord and trust His guidance. Amen

Matthew 20 and Psalms 114

Psalms 114: 7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.

Matthew 20: 26-28 Whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.

 Grasping the fear of the Lord and making him number one in each step has been an important step during my time at the hospital as a elective student. This requires me to be away from sin, and hating what is evil and having no fear of man, but recognizing JC as my Lord.

Secondly in Matthew, JC tells us how we can get to the top. There is a paradoxical truth that we see so often in the bible, be generous to be plentiful, bless your enemy, die to yourself in order to live. However I think it is important that we don't simply serve to get to the top. I am reminded about the verse that God gave me, Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it (Matthew 10) I believe this needs to be a constant requirement in my walk with God.

47 "Again, the kindgom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind.
48 When it was full, men drew it ashore and sat down and sorted the good into containers but threw away the bad.
49 So it will be at the close of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous
50 and throw them into the fiery furnace.

1) is like treasure hidden in a field!
2) is like a merchant in search of fine pearls!
3) is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind.

1) is of enormous value
2) involve human beings seeking for that valuable treasure.
3) and involve both believers and non-believers of Jesus Christ.

My role is to simply recognize the value in the Kingdom of Heaven and seek it out here with my everything. It will involve all sorts of people, Kingdom of Heaven is not just for the believers, we will find active satainist within the catch, and it is up to the angels at the time of harvest to distinguish between the righteous and the sinners. God will decide.

I always always want to bring the Kingdom of Heaven into my dwelling place, that was my desire when I was in Aus, that is my desire when I am now in South Korea. However at the same time I admit that I don't think I see the full value of the Kingdom of Heaven, I definitely wanna see more of the Kingdom of Heaven and find and feel and know the beauty and the value that lies in it.

So I simply pray, Lord teach me your ways and allow me to see the Kingdom of Heaven so that I can be part of bringing your kingdom here and that your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

요즘 "Gifted Hands" 라는 벤 칼슨 MD의 자서전을 읽고 있다. 그 책에 보면 벤의 어머니인 소냐의 신앙과 믿음이 나온다. "You can do anything that you want to do Ben", 아들에게 넌 무엇이든지 할 수 있다라고 격려한 어머니, 그 어머니는 진심으로 자신의 아들이 무엇이든지 할 수 있다고 믿었던 것 같다.

헌데 나로썬 '맹목적인 믿음'은 불안하게 느껴진다, wishful thinking은 나 자신의 유익 만을 구하는 것 같고 진정한 신앙이 아니라고 생각된다. 하지만 믿음과 wishful thinking의 차이점을 발견한다, wishful thinking은 이렇게 됐으면 좋겠다 하는 것이고, 믿음은 그것을 예수님께서 이루실수 있다 믿는 것이다. 성경에서 치유함을 받은 소경, 앉은뱅이들을 보면 그들의 예수님을 향한 믿음 때문에 치유 받거나 죄 사함을 받았다고 적고 있다. 그리고 예수님은 우리에게 더 큰 믿음을 가지라고 도전하신다, 믿음 (예수님) 안에는 제한이 없다고 초자연적인 능력이 있다고 말씀하신다.

한가지 더 내가 믿는 바는 믿음은 들음에서 나온다. 하나님의 언약의 말씀, 사랑의 말씀을 들음에서 나오는 것이다. 그리고 거기엔 목숨을 걸만한 가치가 있다.

하나님은 요술 램프의 지니가 분명히 아니다, 우리보다 훨씬 크신 분이며, 나의 기준에 나의 원함에 하나님을 집어 넣는 것이 아니라 내가 하나님의 기준에 맞추어 지며 그렇게 온전히 쓰임 받기 원한다, 여기에 그분은 하실 수 있다라는 믿음을 가지고 보호하심을 전적으로 믿으며 거침없기를 원한다. 그리고 그 맥락 안에서 하나님의 나라와 유익을 구할 때 기도하는 모든 바는 다 이루어졌다고 믿고 나아간다.

On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

Cases of showing mercy in the bible: Matthew 18:33 When the master took pity on the servant, and canceled the dept.
Mark 5:19 When Jesus healed a demon-possessed man.

Matthew 23:23 You give a tenth.... but you have neglected the more important matters of the law - justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.

- Religious act + the way you live. I should aim to live a good life without neglecting religious acts.

Definition of mercy from the dictionary: A disposition to be kind and forgiving.


Jesus desires to have mercy on us (sinners) and then he is telling us to have mercy rather than self-righteousness through sacrifice. I will continue to have mercy and that starts from dying to myself and simply being with the other person.

하나님을 경외함, 사람을 두려워하지 않으며 하나님을 경외함으로 살기를 원한다.
악을 미워함으로 거룩하게 하나님을 경외함으로 살기를 원한다.
하나님 말씀에 순복하며 그 분을 나의 주로 삼아 순종적인 삶을 살기 원한다.

그 경계선 안에서 살아 갔을 때 나의 삶이 충만하며 오히려 내가 혼자 경험하고 구축하려고 했을 때 보다 훨씬 더 자유롭게 안전하게 이 세상을 살아 갈 수 있다. 예수님 한분으로 만족하는 삶을 살자.

Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy, they will sing before the Lord, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his truth.

Jesus's Lordship over my life. Am I always listening to him? or am I busy with my own stuff?
I used to have a dog called Shadow, he was an Australian cattle dog, not terribly bright but very easygoing which made him my favorite. one day while I was walking I remember thinking that if only he understood the boundaries and were good in keeping them then he would enjoy so much more freedom and so much of this world. But because he wasn't ready to be disciplined and obedient he had to be firmly tied to a rope. I acknowledge the loving limits that God has put in my life and I am devoted to my master and will obey to his calls, by His freedom I will explore and enjoy the beautiful world. I believe JESUS is the almighty God who fills everything in everyway (Eph 1:23). Amen!

로마서 15장 7절

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

It sounds so easy when you say it, "accept each other, don't be a stuck up" but when you feel like somebody has done you wrong, (and maybe he/she did) this word becomes much harder to accept.
However I have learnt that it is good to trust people's characters and give them the benefit of doubt. No one is blatantly evil in my opinion (especially those who fear God) therefore people that you interact with day to day lives are trustworthy. This means that no longer minute things hurt my feelings or cause misunderstanding that brings up jealousy, unsatisfactions and finally anger.

Will I accept her? and him? yes I will. I simply pray that his grace will be abounding in my spirit.

Acts 11:2-11

Peter: Surely, not Lord! Nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.
God: Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.

고정 관념을 깨기가 어렵다. 유혹의 욕심을 따라 썩어져 가는 구습을 좇는 옛 사람을 벗어버리고 오직 심령으로 새롭게 되어 하나님을 따라 의와 진리의 거룩함으로 지으심을 받은 새 사람을 입는 것이 (엡4:22-24) 참으로 힘들다.

꼭 이 구습은, 우리가 쉽게 떠올릴수 있는 나쁜 버릇들이 아니라
잘 들어나진 않지만 조금씩 나를 제한하였던 심지어는 타인이 보았을 때 좋은 습관이라고
평가할 만한 것이 될수도 있다고 생각한다. 하지만 만물에 충만하신 예수님답게 우리의 모든것은 그분께 속하였으며 주님이 쓰시기에 합당한 모습으로 바꾸신다.

유혹의 욕심을 따라가지 않으며, 인간을 따라가지 않으며 yet 순종적이며 겸손하며 사랑으로 인도하시는 하나님을 좇기를 원한다. 오늘 기도한다 예수님의 심장으로 예수님의 눈과 입술로 살아가는 하루되게 해달라고.

Acts 8

I used to once be like Simon the Sorcerer, thriving on attention and full of oneself.

Then God convicted me in my heart and showed me how I was full of bitterness and captive to sin.
And yes I was full of bitterness and captive to sin. Full of bitterness because I wasn't getting what I wanted, captive to sin because I wasn't even aware of what I was doing was sin.

Although my actions and my body was so much in service but my whole being was not holy and wholly captivated by God.

Then God began His work, to deal with all the crap that was in me, I had longed God to bless me and make me some one great, and my perspective was that I would be good serving God and then He will bless me and I will do something great! In that perspective I failed to see the whole picture I fail to account for others whom God has called as part of his body Later I realized I am not a sole product but rather part of a body.

I tend to forget this. This community paradigm is so important yet, my grasp of it wanes from time to time.

Now on I will not be called full of bitterness nor captive to sin. Those two things have no part with me anymore! I will continue to die to my ego, die to my desires, die to my ambitions, but simply focus on God Himself, brothers and sisters that He has lovingly placed around me and the work (fruit) that I can accomplish to bring glory to Him. I pray that I will not focus on a position or a title but may God increase my understanding and my faith to see the things that He sees and for me to become part of the solution Amen!

How much better to get wisdom than gold, to choose understanding rather than silver!

16절을 보며 이용규 선교사님을 생각 하였다. 중동 역사학도 답게 현 시대 선교 흐름을 역사적으로 깊이 있게 설명을 해주셨던 것이 생각났기 때문이다. 그리고 왠지 모르지만 이해함이 없는 벼락부자의 모습이 떠 올랐다, 혜안도 이해함도 없는 자가 갑자기 돈을 많이 벌게 된 모습, 내가 결코 바라는 모습은 아니다.

난 명철을 얻기 원한다, 지혜를 항상 구한다. 진심으로 true understanding이 있기 원한다, 그리고 그 understanding을 기반으로 놓여진 상황에 필요한 그리고 하나님의 진리와 사랑에 합한 리더십을 발휘 하기 원한다. 오늘 하루도 충실하며 내실을 다질 것을 다짐하여 본다.

히브리서 4장 13절

13b: Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

Being accountable = Being transparent.
- 관계는 마음을 여는 만큼 깊어진다.
하나님 과의 관계에서도 마찬가지이다, 우리가 우리의 마음의 영역을 허락해 드리는 만큼
좋은 관계가 형성 될 것이다. 이미 하나님은 그 마음을 다 보고 계시기 때문에 하나님의 입장에서는 달라 지는 것은 없지만 그 관계라는 관점에서 보았을 때 하나님께 그 모은 영역을 열어 드리고 인정하는 모습이 중요하다. 계속해서 입으로 인정하며 동행해 나가기 원한다.
Proverbs 3:5-6 "in all your ways acknowledge Him"--> And He will make straight your path.

갈라디아서 5장

의학 공부를 하면서, 하나 습관을 들이게 된것은 논리적으로 이치에 맞게끔 설명하는 것이다.

어떤 증상이 있을 때 그 원리를 추리하고 그 과정을 논리적으로 설명 할 수 있어야 하기 때문이다. 

그런데 어느 순간 묵상이 잘 안된다, 믿음이 후들 후들 거린다. 가뜩이나 하나님이 주신 나의 지혜를 가지고 삶 속에서 선택해 나가는 훈련 (기도로 의지하며 하나님이 알려주시기를 기다리는 것만이 아니라)을 하는 이 상황에서 더욱 이성적으로 행동하게 되고 마음은 왠지 힘들어진다. 

하지만 나의 목적은 내 인생을 잘 사는데, 누가 보더라도 인정 해 줄만하게 사는데 있지 않으며, 성령을 쫓아 사는 삶에 있다. 하지만 여기엔 참 두려운 함정이 있는게 바로, 내 마음의 음성을 하나님의 음성이라고 착각하고 사는 것이다. 그래서 두렵다, 힘이 든다.

"형제들아 너희가 자유를 위하여 부르심을 입었으나 그러나 그 자유로 육체의 기회를 삼지 말고 오직 사랑으로 서로 종 노릇 하라" 갈라디아서 5장.

모든 것이 필요하겠지만 현재 내가 필요하다고 느끼는 것은 성경 지식이다.

4절 이로써 그 보배롭고 지극히 큰 약속을 우리에게 주사 이 약속으로 말미암아
너희로 정욕을 인하여 세상에서 썩어질 것을 피하여
신의 성품에 참예하는 자가 되게 하려 하셨으니. 

내가 하나님을 만나지 못했다면 분명히 정욕을 쫓아 사는 삶이 되었을 것이고 서서히
썩어져 가는 모습일 것이다.

요즘 내가 많이 듣는 말이 있는데, 바로 스콧/병학 이상하다이다. Weird라는 말인데 사실 그렇게 듣기 좋은 말은 아니다. 하지만 난 이것을 세상과 분별 된 모습으로 가는 중간 통로쯤으로 여길 셈이다, 그냥 좋은게 좋은거다라는 마음으로 살아가는 것이 아니라, 또 하나님이 마음 주시는 대로 성실히 살아가려고 할때 이러한 이야기를 들을 수 있다고 생각한다. 하지만 그 안에 녹아 있을 수 있는 나의 아집을 바라보며 올바르지 않은 것들은 과감히 버리고 인격을 다듬어서, 난 weird를 넘어서 brilliant, 미처 생각해보지 못했음이라는 이야기를 들을 만한
하나님의 경건과 그 충만함 가운데 살기 원한다. 하나님은 나를 신의 성품에 참예하는 자가 되게 하려 하셨다, 난 그렇게 되고 있다. 믿음, 덕, 지식, 절제, 인내, 경건, 형제 우애 그리고 사랑을 해 나간다. 이 과정은 사실 용기와 자기 부인이 모두 필요하며 울분이 터질 때도 있지만 하나님의 사랑으로 그 것들을 덮어 나갈 것이다.

하나님과 우리 주 예수를 앎으로 은혜와 평강이 너희에게 더욱 많을찌어다
그의 신기한 능력으로 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨으니
이는 자기의 영광과 덕으로써 우리를 부르신 이를 앎으로 말미암음이라

하나님과 예수 그리스도를 앎으로 은혜와 평강, 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것이 우리에게 주어진다고 합니다. 더욱 나아가서 그랬을 때 보배롭고 지극히 큰 약속이 우리에게 있을 것이며
정욕으로 썩어질 것을 피하고 신성한 성품에 참여 하게 된다고 적고 있습니다.

여기서 앎으로는 영어에서 Knowledge로 번역되어 있습니다, 이것은 단순히 understand와는 다르며 원 뜻은 체험하다에 가깝다고 저희 전도사님한테 배웠습니다.
그럼 그 체험하다라는 것이 무슨 뜻인지 궁금하나, 더이상의 뜻 풀이는 저의 능력 밖이기에
하나님과 예수 님을 깨닫고 실전적인 실천을 통해 체험하는 삶이 생명과 경건에 속한 삶이라는 결론을 내리며 마칩니다.

Love의 관련된 말씀 몇가지
- Love your enemy Matt 5:44
- Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth (1 John 3:18)
- There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. (1 John 4:18)
- Whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. whoever loves God must also love his brother.
- God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him

- Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

So what?
 The bible passages show that love must be given to all, not just to my brothers and sisters but to all. It should be the motive for everything that we do and we should not be intimated when we are acting in love because perfect love casts out fear, God himself is love and when we practise love we are abiding in Him and He in us.


Now what?
1. Lets practice love, its really not enough to just think in your head it will form lasting fruits when we act!
2. Love should be our motive, then God becomes our motive.
3. Lets always protect, trust, hope and persevere.


There is definitely a lot to take in from this huge topic love, It is for sure that love is the greatest among all. God is love, therefore when we see and act in the lens of love I believe that is a way for us to abide in God and do His good will.

경건에 형제 우애(Mutual affection or love for other Christians)를

Romans 12:10= Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honour (ESV).

예전에 미국에서 지낼 때 있던 이야기다, 같은 공동체 안에서 지내던 누나하고 사이가 원만하지 않을 때가 있었다. 하나님이 주신 지혜는 그 누나를 친 누나처럼 생각하고 대하라는 것이였다. 내가 얼마나 실천을 잘 했는 지는 모르지만 하나님이 주신 지혜였던것 만큼은 확실하다. Outdo one another in showing honour 이 말씀 또한 실천하려고 하지만 정말 금새 "나" 중심적으로 돌아오곤 한다. "나 나 나"는 결코 좋은 소리가 아니다, 내가 뭘 어떻게 해서, 내가 무엇을 이룬다 등, 우린 정말 작은 존재 인데 그 존재 안에만 갖혀 있다면 하나님이 하시는 크신 일에 참예하지 못 할 것이다. 오늘도 난 또 나를 버리기 원한다.

6 지식에 절제를, 절제에 인내를, 인내에 경건을

- 인내 (perseverance).

로마서 5:3-4 because we know that suffering produces perseverance; ⁴ perseverance, character; and character, hope
데살로니가후서 3:4 May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
히브리서 12:1  And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us
야고보서 1:4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.


인내라는 열매는 고난 가운데 여뭅니다, 고난의 장소를 피하지 않으며 주님의 뜻을 이루기위해 인내 할 때 연단: 몸과 마음이 굳세게 되는 역사가 일어 납니다 (롬 5:3-4). 개인적으로도 인내가 매우 중요한 덕목이라고 생각합니다. 성경에서는 우리의 삶을 경주로 묘사하고 우리를 경주자로 이야기 하는 것을 볼수 있습니다 그에 걸맞게 모든 것에 절제하며 주님이 주신 목표를 향해 뛰라고 이야기 합니다,한 사람밖에 차지 할 수 없는 우승을 원하는 자처럼 뛰어야 합니다 (고전 9장). 하프 마라톤을 뛰었을때 선두에 있던 프로 마라토너의 뜀박질을 보며 느꼈던 신선한 충격이 기억 납니다, 모든 것을 집중하며 최대한 몸을 빨리 움직이는데에만 초점을 맞추며 자신을 한계로 몰아 붙이던 모습이였습니다. 그리고 경주에는 분명히 인내하는 요소가 있습니다. 42.2 km 마라톤에서 1-2km 전력 질주 하고 힘들다고 주저 앉아 버린다면 그것은 실패한 레이스입니다. 


꾸준함은 중요한 덕목입니다, 힘들더라도 약속을 지키고 인내하는 모습이 지금 저에게 절실히 필요하고 주위에 있는 크리스챤들에게도 필요함을 봅니다, 물론 하나님이 옮겨 주신다면 그 자리로부터 옮겨 가야 겠지만, 그렇지 않다면 내가 놓인 곳에서부터 더욱 인내 함으로 주님의 허락하시는 경건의 열매를 이루기를 원합니다, 이렇게 함으로 저희를 조금도 부족함이 없게 하시겠다는 말씀을 이룰것입니다 (야고보서 1:4).

요새 계속해서 반복적으로 듣고 있는 메세지 인데 지금 다시 한번 선포한다
"시간을 아낄것이다!"
엡 5:15-17: "그런즉 너희가 어떻게 행할 것을 자세히 주의하여 지혜없는 자같이 말고 오직 지혜 있는 자같이 하여 세월을 아끼라 때가 악하니라 그러므로 어리석은 자가 되지 말고 오직 주의 뜻이 무엇인가 이해하라"

- NOW WHAT?
1. 주의 뜻이 무엇인지 이해하고 --> 이타적인 사랑을 베푸는 것.
2. Exercise self-control in all things --> 모든 것, self-indulgence로 가게 하는 모든 속삭임과 상황을 주의 하라. "Stay hungry, Stay foolish" Steve Jobs.
3. 목표가 필요하다, 위에 1번 주의 뜻이 무엇인가와 일맥 상통한다.
현재 의학을 공부하고 있다, 의사로써 쓰임 받기 원한다. 하지만 그 이상은 잘 모르겠다, 물론 졸업 후 의학을 나의 기술 삼아서 환자들을 섬기고 이타적인 사랑을 행할것이다. 정확한 어떠한 형태로 그것을 진행 시킬 것인지는 모르겠다. 현실적으로 USMLE를 준비하여서 미국 시스템에 들어 가는 것이 효율적일지 아니면 그냥 호주에서 학교 공부를 열심히 해야 할지 잘 모르겠다. 미국 의사 면허증이 전 세계에 들어 갈수 있는 여권처럼 사용될수 있을 것 같기도 한데 특별한 목표가 없기 허공을 치는 모습일까봐 선뜻 뛰어 들지 못하고 있다.
이 부분에 관해서 하나님의 뜻을 이해하기 원한다.

2. 에베소서 4:13 우리가 다 하나님의 아들을 믿는 것과 아는 일에 하나가 되어 온전한 사람을 이루어 그리스도의 장성한 분량이 충만한데까지 이르리니.

3. 빌립보서 3:8 내 주 그리스도 예수를 아는 지식이 가장 고상함을 (surpassing greatness) 인함이라...

4. 렘 9:24 자랑하는 자는 이것으로 자랑할찌니 곧 명철하여 나를 아는 것과....

하나님과 예수 그리스도를 알때 은혜와 평강이 임하고, 그리스도의 장성한 분량까지 충만케 되며. 바울처럼 믿음의 싸움을 끝까지 완주 할수 있습니다. 저의 예수 그리스도에 대한 이해가 부족하다는 것을 느끼며 그 배움에 참예함으로 위에 나온 내용들을 저 또한 누리고 이수하고 싶습니다.

하나님을 아는 지식을 반석 같은 말씀위에 세우기 원합니다.

5절 add to your faith goodness.

Faith란 예수를 주로 시인하는 것 (마음으로 믿는 것), Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see and without faith it is impossible to please God. I believe taking risk and acting in faith goes hand in hand. To commit or do something because you have everything figured out is to act in logic rather than in faith. I know that as a believer that we should NOT dump logic and reasoning out the window, however from my experience God calls and many things are hazy however with eyes and heart of faith when I decided and proclaimed to do His will, He began His work and prepared me for the journey that lied ahead.

God does not ask us more than we can bear, and He does not forsake us, He is a reasonable God and it is a delight to do his will and walk along with him. He is definitely a giver of good gifts.

본인에게 유익하던것을 다 해로 여기고, 주 그리스도 예수를 아는 지식만을 가장 고상히 여긴 바울과, 예수 그리스도를 앎을통해 경건한 삶을 살 수 있다고 이야기하는 베드로를 보며 내가 가지고 있는 예수님의 지식은 어떠한지 돌이켜 보게 된다.

목자? 빛? 주? 선생? 친구?
이 중에서 예수 그리스도의 주재권(lordship)에 대해서 잠시 생각을 하는데 드는 생각은 역시나 control에 관한 부분이다, 결국엔... 내 손으로 꼭 붙잡고 있는 것이 내 삶의 통제권이 아니라, 예수 그리스도의 손이기를 바란다. 양떼가 목자를 따르고 어두운 길 가운데 빛을 따라 가듯이 주님 따라 동행하는 이 삶이 되길 원하며.. 오늘도 그 분을 내 중심에 모시고 집중하기 원한다. 그랬을때 예수님이 하셨듯이 사랑이 필요한 친구들이 보이고, 나의 이기심으로 행동 하지 않으며 하나님 나라 방식으로 살아가도록 결정한다.

얼마전에 갔었던 Fetal maternal specialist의 토크  마지막 슬라이드가
이 말씀 구절이였다, Meiosis중에 Chromosome들이 Crossing over하는 부분을 보며 하나님의 보이지 않는 손이 그것들을 뜨개질 하고 있다고 이야기 하였다.

몇주 전에 이 말씀을 묵상 하였을 때는 사람 한명 한명 하나님께서 만드셨기 때문에
다 너무나 소중한 사람들이며 그 가치를 보고 합당한 대우를 서로에게 해주어야 한다고 생각하였다.

오늘은 "나"에대해서 포커스를 맞추기 원한다.
하나님이 우리를 신묘막측하게 지으셨다, Fearfully and wonderfully, MSG 성경에는 Marvelously made라고 적고 있다; 한 인생마다 너무나 놀라운 것이다,
우린(나는) 그 사실을 쉽게 잊곤 한다. 그리고 비교하면서 살아간다.

하나님을 경외하는 마음은 하나님의 말씀에 가장 신경을 쓰며 살아가는 마음이라고 배웠다.
너무 쉽게 상처 받고 좌절하는 우리의 (나의) 모습을 보며 난 하나님이 우리에게 주시는
값어치와 진정한 정체성을 붙잡기 원한다.

독수리가 나는 법을 배우듯이

많이 배웠다고 생각했는데, 아직도 전 참 연약합니다.
한걸음씩 걸어서 넘을수 있는 높은 산보다
제가 더 어려워 하는 것은 한번에 넘어야 하는 뜀틀 입니다.

무엇이 그렇게 두려운걸까요?

안녕하세요!

이제 다시 조금씩 하나님이 주시는 마음을 나누기 원합니다.

가끔씩 갓피플 닷컴에서 묵상 편지를 보내주는데 이번주에 좋은 말씀이 있었습니다.
그것은 "믿음은 눈에 보이지 않는 것을 믿는 것이다.  아직 현실이 아니지만 하나님이 주시는 뜻을 따라 마음을 믿음으로 정하는 것이다" 라는 말씀입니다.

우리는 가끔씩 힘들어 합니다, 현재 처한 상황에 힘들어 합니다, 지금 얻고 싶은데 그렇게 하지 못하는 것 때문에 힘들어 합니다. 하나님을 아는 자로써 살아가야 하는 것을 힘들어 합니다. 하지만 큰 그림을 봐야 합니다, 우리가 정진해 나가고 있는 그 길을 봐야 합니다. 그리고 어느정도 상상력을 사용해야 합니다. 지금 현재는 아니지만 하나님이 인도해주시고 있고    내가 열매 맺을 그 선한것을 상상하며 기뻐하며 힘을 냅니다.
현재 놓인 곳이 시궁창일찌라도, 그곳에도 하나님의 햇살이 내리쬐고 있으며 평생 그곳에만 거하게 되지는 않을 것 입니다.

한걸음 한걸음 걸어 갑시다, 힘들면 잠시 서서 기다립시다. 충만할땐 뛰어도 좋습니다. 방향은 맞게 하나님과 동행하면 됩니다.
